Everything below is about our massage spa specifically rather than massage in general: an independent studio in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, at 2151 Eastridge Center, Floor 1, #C. We are open 7 days a week from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, we run 60, 90 and 120 minute sessions with certified therapists, and we are rated 5.0 stars across 16 Google reviews.
That last number is small and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. What follows is what actually distinguishes the studio, how a session runs, and where we draw the line on claims — because a spa that tells you the truth about what massage does is worth more than one that does not.

What makes this studio different
Three things, and none of them is a slogan. First, we are the only place in Eau Claire offering futon floor-mat massage — a fully clothed, oil-free session on a padded mat with 15 to 25 assisted stretches. Second, hot stone therapy and sauna access are included with every session rather than sold as upgrades. Third, we are open 12.5 hours a day, 7 days a week, which means an 8:30 PM start is a real option.
The third one matters more than it sounds. Most people who stop booking massage stop because the hours never quite worked, not because they stopped wanting it.
How a session actually runs
Arrive about 10 minutes early. There is a 5 minute intake conversation about where you are tight, what pressure you want, and anything medical we need to work around. Then your therapist leaves the room for 3 to 5 minutes while you get under the sheet.
You stay draped for the whole session — only the area being worked is uncovered, then re-covered before your therapist moves on. Pressure is adjustable at any point, and saying 'a bit lighter' is part of the process rather than a complaint. Afterward, most guests spend 15 to 20 minutes in the sauna. The first-time guide walks through all of it in more detail.

Where we draw the line
We will tell you that massage eases muscular tension and produces the relaxation response, because it does. We will not tell you it flushes toxins, breaks up scar tissue, realigns your spine or treats a diagnosed condition, because it does not — and every one of those claims is on other spa websites in this state right now.
The same applies to our cupping. Our own cupping guide cites the federal NCCIH fact sheet that lists zero conditions cupping treats. We would rather sell you an hour you understand than an hour you were sold.
When we will turn a booking down
For a fresh injury from the last few days, an active infection or fever, numbness, weakness in a limb, radiating pain, or anything sharp and new, the right first call is a medical provider rather than a massage studio. We will say so on the phone.
The same goes for cupping if you are on blood thinners, have a bleeding disorder, or have broken or flaring skin where cups would go. Turning down one booking is cheaper than the alternative, for both of us.
What Your First Visit Looks Like, in Order
A first session at Q Healthy Spa runs about 90 minutes door to door for a 60 minute massage. Nothing about it is a surprise if you know the order it happens in, so here is the whole sequence — including the two points where you are expected to say something rather than lie there being polite.
- Arrive about 10 minutes early. Parking is free and directly in front of Suite #C, first floor, no stairs.
- Spend roughly 5 minutes on intake: where you are tight, what pressure you want, and anything medical to work around.
- Change privately. Your therapist steps out for 3 to 5 minutes while you get under the sheet, undressed to whatever level you are comfortable with.
- Say something in the first 10 minutes if the pressure is wrong. Adjusting it is normal and it is much easier at minute 8 than at minute 45.
- The session runs 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Only the area being worked is uncovered, then re-covered before the therapist moves on.
- Use the sauna afterward if you want — it is included, and most guests spend 15 to 20 minutes in it.
- Pay by cash or card. First visits are $5 off, and hot stone therapy costs nothing extra on any visit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are your massage therapists certified?
Yes. Our therapists are certified and experienced, and massage therapists in Wisconsin are licensed by the Department of Safety and Professional Services. It is a reasonable question to ask of any provider in the state, and you should get a straight answer wherever you book.
How many reviews does Q Healthy Spa have?
5.0 stars across 16 Google reviews. That is a small sample and we would rather say so than imply a bigger one — every review is from someone who booked and showed up, and we have not purchased badges or awards.
What is included with a session?
Complimentary hot stone therapy and sauna access come with every massage at no extra charge, which is not standard among Eau Claire studios. First visits are also $5 off. Plan an extra 15 to 20 minutes if you want to use the sauna afterward.
What makes Q Healthy Spa different from other Eau Claire spas?
Three things: we are the only studio in Eau Claire offering futon floor-mat massage, hot stone therapy and sauna access are included rather than upsold, and we are open 12.5 hours a day 7 days a week with the last session starting at 8:30 PM. Our Eau Claire massage guide compares the other studios in town honestly.
Do you offer wet cupping?
No, and we never will. Wet cupping deliberately cuts the skin so blood flows into the cup, which carries substantially heavier risks including bloodborne infection, scarring and anemia with repetition. We perform dry, non-piercing cupping only, and we never cup the scalp.
Will you tell me if massage is not the right choice?
Yes. For a fresh injury, an active infection or fever, numbness, limb weakness, radiating pain, or anything sharp and new, we will tell you to see a medical provider first. The same goes for cupping if you are on blood thinners or have broken or flaring skin in the area.
